implement (-s), n. [L. implēmentum, that which fills.]

  1. The apparatus, or set of utensils, instruments, etc. employed in any trade or in executing any piece of work; chiefly in agriculture.
  2. Things that serve as equipment or outfit, as household furniture or utensils, ecclesiastical vessels or vestments, wearing apparel or ornaments, etc.
