- Being in human form, but having superhuman qualities and characteristics, such as strength, bulk, stature, etc.
- [Fig.] large obstacle, physical, mental, or otherwise.
- Person of extraordinary strength or intelligence.
- Phrase. “The Giant tolerates no Gnat”: superior, dominant power; one holding the power who makes the rules.
