burst (-ing), v. [OE] (webplay: break, come, door, ears, heart, liberation).

1. Push outward; thrust out; throw open with force; [fig.] escape from; exit through; (see Jeremiah 30:8).
2. Resound; blare; peal; sound out; come forth suddenly.
3. End; interrupt; destroy.
4. Break; rupture; swell to the breaking point; [fig.] overwhelm with emotion; (see Job 32:19).
