VICONTIEL, a. [L. vice-comitalia. See Viscount.]
In old law books, pertaining to the sherif. Vicontiel rents, are certain rents for which the sherif pays rent to the king. Vicontiel writs, are such as are triable in the county or sherif court. Cyc.
