VIEW, v.t. vu. [Fr. vue, from voir, to see, contracted from L. videre, Rum vile, San. via. The primary sense is to reach or extend to.]
- To survey; to examine with the eye; to look on with attention, or for the purpose of examining; to inspect; to explore. Vino differs from took, see, and behold, in expressing I more particular or continued attention to the thing which is L. the object of sight.
