- Shake; clatter; produce noise; make a clicking sound by striking repeatedly against another object; [fig.] spill; pour out; fall to the ground with a clattering sound.
- Stir; produce noises characteristic of waking from slumber; [fig.] emerge; awake; arise; come forth.
