Definition for IN-TER'
IN-TER', v.t. [Fr. enterrer; en and terre, L. terra, the earth; Sp. enterrar; It. interrare.]
- To bury; to deposit and cover in the earth; as, to inter a dead animal body.
- To cover with earth. But it is used almost exclusively to denote the depositing and covering of dead animal bodies.
