Definition for KA'LI
KA'LI, n. [Ar. قَاِي kali, the ashes of the Salicornia, from قَاَي kalai, to fry.]
A plant, a species of Salsola, or glass-wort, the ashes of which are used in making glass. Hence Alkali, – which see.
