BU'GLOSS, n. [L. buglossus; Gr. βουγλωσσος, of βους, an ox, and γλωσσα, tongue.]
The popular name of a genus of plants, called Anchusa. The small wild bugloss, is the Asperugo. The viper's bugloss, is the Echium.
