BULL, n.1 [G. bull; W. bwla; Russ. vol. Qu. from his sex, or from bellowing; Sw. bola, or böla; Dan. boler.]
- The male of the Bos, or bovine genus of quadrupeds, of which cow is the female.
- In a Scriptural sense, an enemy, powerful, fierce and violent. Many bulls have compassed me. – Psalms.
- Taurus, one of the twelve signs of the zodiac.
