SCA-LENE', or SCA-LE'NOUS, a. [Gr. σκαληνος, oblique, unequal, allied, probably to σκολιος; G. schel, schiel, D. scheel, squinting; Dan. skieler, to squint.]
A scalene triangle, is one whose sides and angles are unequal.
