STRIP, n. [G. streif, a stripe, a streak; D. streep, a stroke, a line, a stripe; Dan. stribe.]
- A narrow piece, comparatively long; as, a strip of cloth.
- Waste, in a legal sense; destruction of fences, buildings, timber, &c. [Norm. estrippe.] – Massachusetts.
