THRUM, n. [Ice. thraum; G. trumm; D. drom, the end of a thing; Gr. θρυμμα, a fragment; θρυπτω, to break.]
- The ends of weaver's threads.
- Any coarse yarn. Bacon.
- Thrums, among gardeners, the thread-like internal bushy parts of flowers; the stamens.
