MAN'HOOD, n. [man and hood.]
- The state of one who is a man, of an adult male, or one who is advanced beyond puberty, boyhood or childhood; virility.
- Virility; as, opposed to womanhood. Dryden.
- Human nature; as, the manhood of Christ.
- The qualities of a man; courage; bravery; resolution. [Little used.] Sidney.
