CYM'O-PHANE, n. [Gr. κομα, a wave, and φαινω, to appear.]
A mineral, called also chrysoberyl. Its color is green of different shades; its fracture conchoidal or undulated, and in hardness it ranks next to the sapphire. – Haüy. Cleaveland.
