SAR'COL-ITE, n. [flesh-stone.]
A substance of a vitreous nature, and of rose flesh color, found near Vesuvius. The French call it hydrolite, water-stone. – Dict. Nat. Hist. Sarcolite is a variety of analcime. – Ure.
