SUP-PU-RA'TION, n. [Fr. from L. suppuratio.]

  1. The process of producing purulent matter, or of forming pus, as in a wound or abscess; one of the natural terminations of phlegmonous inflammation. – Cyc. Cooper. Wiseman.
  2. The matter produced by suppuration.
