VES'I-CLE, n. [L. vesicula. See Vesicate.]
- A little bladder, or a portion of the cuticle separated from the skin and filled with some humor.
- Any small membranous cavity in animals or vegetables. The lungs consist of vesicles admitting air. – Ray. Cyc.
