TENTH, n.
- The tenth part.
- Tithe; the tenth part of annual produce or increase. The tenth of income is payable to the clergy in England, as it was to the priests among the Israelites.
- In music, the octave of the third; an interval comprehending nine conjoint degrees, or ten sounds, diatonically divided. Busby.
