TUN'NEL, v.t.

1. To form like a tunnel; as, to tunnel fibrous plants into nests. – Derham.
2. To catch in a net called a tunnel-net.
3. To form with net-work. – Derham.
4. To make an opening or way for passage, through a hill, or mountain, or under a river.
