PRO-GRES'SION, n. [Fr. from L. *progressio*, *progredior*.]

- The act of moving forward; a proceeding in a course; motion onward. – Locke.
- Intellectual advance; as, the

- In mathematics, regular or proportional advance in increase or decrease of numbers; continued proportion, arithmetical or geometrical.
