DAZE, v.t. [Qu. Sax. dwæs, dysi, dysig, Eng. dizzy. See Dazzle.]
To overpower with light; to dim or blind by too strong a light, or to render the sight unsteady. – Dryden. [Not now used, unless in poetry.]
