DO-DE-CAN'DER, n. [Gr. δωδεκα, twelve, and ανηρ, a male.]

In botany, a plant having twelve stamens; one of the class Dodecandria. But this class includes all plants that have any number of stamens from twelve to nineteen inclusive. – Linnæus.
