GAN'DER, n. [Sax. gandra, ganra; Ir. ganra. In Ger. and D. gans is a goose; D. ganserick, a gander; Gr. χην, and probably L. anser. Pliny says, that in Germany the small white geese were called ganzæ. Lib. 10. 22.]
