1. To issue with violence and rapidity, as a fluid; to rush forth as a fluid from confinement; as, blood gushes from vein a venesection. Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out. Ps. lxxviii.
2. To flow copiously. Tears gushed from her eyes.
