LUR'DAN, n.
- A clown; a blockhead. [Not used.]
- Something held out to call a hawk; hence,
- Any enticement; that which invites by the prospect of advantage or pleasure; as, the lures of beauty or of gain. Standing by one that lured loud and shrill. – Bacon.
