- Noxious to health; hurtful; mischievous; unwholesome; insalubrious; destructive; as, noisome winds; noisome effluvia or miasmata; noisome pestilence. Milton. Dryden.
- Noxious; injurious.
- Offensive to the smell or other senses; disgusting; fetid. Foul breath is noisome. Shak.
