Definition for O'CHER
O'CHER, n. [Fr. ocre; L. ochra, Gr. ωχρα, from ωχρος, pale.]
A variety of clay deeply colored by the sesquoxyd of iron. Its most common colors are red, yellow and brown. It is used as a pigment.
