SEARCH, n. [serch.]
- A seeking or looking for something that is lost, or the place of which is unknown; with for or after; as, a search for lost money; a search for mines of gold and silver; a search after happiness or knowledge.
- Inquiry; a seeking. He spent his life in search of truth.
