MO'BILE, n. [Fr. from L. mobilis.]
The mob; the populace. – South. Primum mobile. [L.] In the ancient astronomy, a ninth heaven or sphere, supposed to be beyond the fixed stars, and to be the first mover of all the lower spheres.
