PHLO-GIS'TIC, a. [See Phlogiston.]

  1. In chimistry, partaking of phlogiston; inflaming. – Adams.
  2. In medicine, entonic or sthenic, that is, attended with a preternatural degree of vital energy and strength of action in the heart and arteries.
