PHYS'A-LITE, n. [Gr. φυσαω, to swell or inflate, and λιθος, a stone.]
A mineral of a greenish white color, a subspecies of prismatic topaz; called also pyrophysalite, as it intumesces in heat. – Jameson. Phillips.
