DUCK, n.1 [Sw. duk, a cloth; Dan. duug; G. tuch; D. doek; allied perhaps to L. toga, and to tego, to cover, or texo, to weave.]
A species of coarse cloth or canvas, used for sails, sacking of beds, &c.
