DO-TA'TION, n. [L. dotatio, from dos, dower, doto, to endow.]
- The act of endowing, or bestowing a marriage portion on a woman.
- Endowment; establishment of funds for support; as of a hospital or eleemosynary corporation. – Blackstone.
